I’m choosing WordPress for many of my blogs because WordPress is so easy to implement (especially on DreamHost) and extend with plugins. You can turn a WordPress installation into a full Web site very simply and quickly. (I had a horrendous afternoon yesterday working on a static four-page brochure site: it took me over three hours to do what I could have done in 10 minutes on WordPress.)

Here are my two all-time favourite plugins. I install them on every new WordPress blog:

* StatTraq - great stats-tracker; and

* Terong Related Posts - lets you offer related posts to your blog entries.
