Using WordPress as a Content Management System

A blog is just a Web site, but your WordPress blog can be a Content Management System (CMS) too.

The Blog Herald’s “Liveblogging (sort of) WordPress as CMS” gives you a brief outline of how you could use your WP installation as a CMS.

The major benefit of WP over static Web sites is SPEED. You can set up WP in minutes, whereas sites tend to take a lot longer, and require more planning.

If you’re using WP as a CMS the major challenge would be navigation — making sure that your content is found. You can do a lot to get around the challenges however, if you use some of WP’s many plug-ins.
