If you’re developing your blogging career, whether it’s as a freelance blogger, hiring out your blogging skills, or as an entrepreneur-blogger, do you need a Web site too?
I tend to harp on the fact that “a blog IS a Web site!”, yadda, yadda… But nevertheless, there are ways in which a static Web site can help your blogging efforts.

The primary way a static Web site can help your blog is in Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Yes, I know that you can optimize your blog for any keywords you choose, that categories act as keywords, and that if you’re using WordPress, you can use plugins like the Utlimate Tag Warrior help your SEO efforts, but a static site can help to make SEO on your blog easier.
I’m developing an experiment on the blog/ static site combination, to test out some ideas.
