Christmas is coming, and the geese are getting fat… customers’ wallets, that is.

Whether you’re creating your own little blog empire, or are freelance blogging for a business, the holiday season, which is just about on us, is the time to make sales.

Ideally, you’ll prepare for the end-of-year sales season right throughout the year. For your own blogs, you’ll pull together affiliate products, and will start pre-selling them, so that you’ve got a presence in the search engine results pages for those products already. (Because you’ve been blogging about them for months.) Now it’s the time to get your Pay Per Click advertising into gear as well.

Continue to think PRE-SELLING
Step up your blogging. If you’ve been making four blog posts a week, increase it to six. Watch your referrer logs, to see where your traffic is coming from. Develop a couple of joint venture deals with fellow bloggers.

If you’re freelance blogging, the job of your blog is to reel in the customers so that the business can make sales, and can renew your blogging contract.

Deck the halls with boughs of holly… tis the season to make sales…
