You’ve got a new blog, and you want traffic NOW.
That’s completely understandable, but… it’s much more efficient if you focus not on traffic, but on content, until your blog is at least six months old.
Here’s why:
* Nothing to see here. With a new blog, there’s little content, so any visitors you do get, click and go;
* If you’re running AdSense, there’s not enough content for the algorithm to send you targeted ads. This means lower click-throughs and less money;
* You need to spend your valuable time on what will get you a return over the months and years to come, and that’s CONTENT.
Yes, I know you want traffic, and you check your stats three times a day. Just stop doing that. It’s pointless.
If you truly want a blog which will bring huge traffic, focus on the content NOW. There are only so many hours in the day.
That said, I’ve had some questions about “auto content” for blogs. I’ve got one answer for you: DON’T DO IT. There’s no way that any auto-content system can bring you the returns over time that a hand-crafted blog will bring you. Ultimately, the Web system is against you, and as any gambler knows, you can’t beat the house.
Yes, wanting traffic is a LEGITIMATE desire, read my article on how to get traffic. However, remember that what counts first, last, and always is CONTENT.
