David Sifry of Technorati has posted the “State of the Blogosphere, October, 2006″.
He reports that:
* around 100,000 new blogs are created every day
* Technorati is tracking 56 million blogs (the blogosphere doubles every 230 days)
* Technorati is getting better at removing splogs (spam blogs)
* There are 1.3 million blog postings a day
* Blogging is global
* Higher ranked blogs post more often (there seems to be a correlation between the number of posts per day a blog has, and its ranking)
Fascinating stuff.
