If you’re new to blogging, all the geek paraphernalia can be intimidating. One of the easiest ways to start blogging without speaking geek is to create a Six Apart blog – 15 million people use Six Apart across their various services, so they’re huge.
My writing blog is on Typepad, which is owned by Six Apart. Yes, it’s a hassle paying for hosting, but the upside is that when something goes wrong, and I complain, someone listens. The Typepad support team is outstanding.
Read the Blog Herald’s “Interview: The Low Down On Six Apart (With Anil Dash)” for more on Six Apart. They’re a huge blogging services provider.
