Many bloggers set up affiliate blogs. That is, they create a blog which is a sales tool for a company (think Amazon Associates), and when they make sales, they get a chunk of cash.
Affiliate selling is not new, it’s as old as the Internet. However, although affiliate selling is profitable, it’s also more complex than it might appear, at first blush. Yes, you’re talking to someone who knows – I tried affiliate selling a few years back, and since I just whacked some banners onto some sites and did nothing else, the results were… well, there were no results.
But we live and we learn. And it turns out that LEARNING is the key. There are people who know how to make affiliate sales, and they’re happy to teach you.
A site that I’m a happy, enthused member of is Wealthy Affiliate. I can now see my way clear to turning my blogs (current and those I’ll develop this year), into affiliate successes.
