Guarantee your blogging success – with persistence

Blogging is a long term project: you won’t create a super-successful blog in a week, a month, or even a year. Think long term – years, rather than months.

Yes, you can have some success early – you’ll see your traffic increase each week, as search engine indexing kicks in, and as you do promotions. However, you need to be patient and persistent.

I’m seeing better results with my writing blog every month, now that it’s a couple of years old. Although I never looked on that particular blog as anything other than a personal interest, and a project that I hoped would help other writers, the blog is becoming a real entity in its own right, and I’m looking forward to building it up further. That blog shows me that you don’t necessarily have to push and shove for a blog to be successful, you just have to be persistent.

Other bloggers have confided that they experience this too – suddenly a blog that they’re just maintaining becomes a roaring success, as it grows.

So if you’re in the blogging doldrums, stick with it. Time is on your side. Keep blogging.
