I’ve been talking about affiliate blogging, and how setting up blogs for your affiliate products is the easiest way to make money blogging. But many bloggers hesitate to get into affiliate blogging.

In “The Proper Way To Do Affiliate Marketing” John Chow says:

It is really too bad that bloggers don’t look at affiliate marketing because when done correctly, affiliate marketing can be one of your biggest moneymakers. Many people point to Shoemoney’s $140,000 AdSense check but what many don’t know is he makes more from affiliate marketing than Google.

You’ve got to know the art of the pre-sell

Essentially, as an affiliate blogger, you’re not selling – you’re just making an introduction to a product, so you’re “pre-selling” if you will. It’s best that as an affiliate, you use and recommend the products that you introduce to your readers.

I’m a member of Wealthy Affiliate, for example, so I have no hesitation in recommending the site. It’s deservedly popular, because it takes newcomers to affiliate marketing by the hand and leads them through the entire affiliate marketing process, with a view to earning $300 a day. As you’ll see on the site, $300 is completely doable, even if you’re new to affiliate marketing/ blogging.

Another product I heartily recommend is Affiliate Project X - this ebook is a must-read for all new affiliates. It will not only open your eyes to the possibilities inherent in affiliate blogging, it will also give you an entirely new point of view on your blog. You will see exactly how to do it, and the techniques are brilliant and insightful.

I’m very comfortable introducing you to the products I use, and you should be comfortable doing it too, on your own blog. Remember that when you recommend products that you use and which work for you, you’re doing your reader a favor – you’re not selling. That’s up to the merchant.
