Splogs (spam blogs, often automated) come into fashion, and then rapidly head out of fashion again once the owners realized that 1000 blogs created on Tuesday are de-indexed the following Friday.
It seems so easy. Use a nifty bit of software and create as many money-making blogs as you please. It’s not easy, because once you start down this path you need to keep creating thousands of sites, and sooner or later you realize that you’re spending more time and energy than the process is worth. The major problem is tracking your creations – you realize you can’t do it.
Everyone I’ve ever spoken to, who’s used automated site-creation software over the past decade has stopped doing it because it’s unprofitable.
If you’re contemplating “easy, automatic” blog creation software, ask yourself whether you want your name associated with the blogs you create. Like it or not, your name WILL be associated with the blogs.
Then do some simple arithmetic on your keywords. Every keyword is valuable or useless according to the number of searches. Will any of your automated blogs ever be returned in the top ten search engine query results?
Think twice before you use automated site creators. These tools can do you harm.
