Blogging gigs: develop proposals for companies

by angela.booth on October 16, 2007

Once you’re comfortable blogging, you begin to realize that there’s a whole world of blogging gigs available to you – not just the blog jobs which are advertised, but those which are not.

Would you like to get gigs blogging for large companies which don’t have blogs? You can.

Currently we’re at a unique place in the blogging phenomenon – although blogging is mainstream, communications’ professionals like PR folk and advertising agencies still haven’t developed wide expertise in blogging.

This means that there are opportunities for bloggers to get great gigs, simply because they have expertise.

This window of opportunity for bloggers won’t last forever; so make the most of it while you can.

Start sending out proposals for companies with which you’d like to work. Your proposals can be very brief – since they’re not requested, keep your proposals under half a page. If you get nibbles of interest, you can always expand on them.

New to blogging? Get started blogging, and develop a full-time career as a pro blogger.
