If you’re a keen Facebook user and blog using TypePad, you don’t even need to leave Facebook to blog. Just use Blog It, a new Facebook application from TypePad.

TypePad – Features – Blog It reports:

“Blog It is a free Facebook application which focuses on making it easier for you to create content no matter the blogging platform you use. Blog It brings some of the best social aspects of Facebook to blogging, making it easy for you to let your friends and colleagues around the web know what you’re up to and what you’re writing.”

Sounds like fun.

I haven’t tried it, because I don’t spend that much time on Facebook, but if you’ve tried it, please let us know how it’s worked for you in the comments.

Is your blog a business?

You love blogging. You add to your blog several times a week, and are thrilled whenever new subscribers show up in your Feedburner stats.

You’re running a WordPress blog (of course) so all the free time you have to spare when you’re not creating content, you’re exploring plugins and themes.

You’re going to splash out on a commercial theme, when you find the PERFECT theme for your niche.

Is your blog a business? Or is it a hobby?

The attributes I outlined above signal that you’re a hobbyist blogger, which is great; many pro bloggers start out as hobbyists.

You may be happy just blogging as a hobby. However, if you want to become a professional blogger, you need to pay attention to the money aspect.

Ask yourself questions like:

How much money do I want to make with this blog?

How much capital can I invest to reach my income goals?

Am I building a site just for me, or do I intend to sell the blog when it’s making a respectable sum each month?

Your blog won’t magically turn into a business. However, if you ask the right questions, and set out on a path to meet your income and other goals with your blog, then before you know it, you’ll have a blog which is a real business. Then you can build your business, or you can sell the blog.
