Blogging: 3 Easy Ways to Increase Your Traffic Daily

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Want more traffic to your blog? Every blogger wants more traffic, and since traffic is relatively easy to get, let’s look at three easy ways in this article.

1. Add Content: More Content Equals More Traffic

The more content on your blog, the more traffic you will get, even if you do nothing else at all to attract traffic. This is because the search engines love blogs. You’ll find that once your blog is indexed in the search engines it’s crawled many times a day. This means that you can make a post, and get traffic to your blog within half an hour.

Adding content is the most important thing you can do to get more traffic to your blog.

2. Guest Blog and Comment on Big Blogs

The rich get richer, and the poor get poorer. In blogging terms, big high-traffic blogs are rich: they get hundreds of thousands of page views. What if you could direct a small portion of rich-blogs’ traffic to your own blog?

You can. There are two ways: by guest blogging, and by commenting on big blogs.

Commenting is relatively easy, but make sure that you add to the conversation when you comment. A useless comment like “great post!” will get you marked as a spammer. Devote time and energy to your blog comments and make those comments truly useful, and you’ll be appreciated as a commenter.

In addition, as you keep commenting on a big blog, there’s every chance that you’ll be asked to guest blog on that blog, because you’ve become familiar to the blog owner, who looks on you as a friend.

3. Use Social Networking Tools: Make Friends

The old saying “it’s not what you know it’s who you know” is true. The social networking sites have gained in prominence over the past year. If you’re not yet a member of sites like Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, join them now and start building your social network — you’ll get instant traffic to your blog posts.

Here’s an additional tip: traffic is cumulative. The more you add content, comment, and increase your activity on social networks, the more your traffic will grow, just like a snowball rolling downhill.

So there you have it — three easy ways to increase your blog traffic daily.

Blogging: 5 Ways to Grow Your Blog and Income

Are you an experienced blogger? If so, you already know that the more time and energy you give to your blog, the more money you will make online. If you’re new, let’s look at five ways you can grow your blog and income.

1. Monthly Review: Get Everything You Can out of Everything You’ve Got

You need to track your blog carefully so that you know what’s working. At the end of every month, create a monthly report.

This report should contain: a daily visitor count, a list of your most popular blog posts, and the number of sales you’ve made on your blog, as well as the income the blog has generated.

When you know exactly how your blog’s visitors are interacting with the material on your blog, you can give them more of what they want and turn your occasional visitors into confirmed readers.

2. Find a New Revenue Stream Once a Month

Have you created a business plan for your blog? If you haven’t, don’t feel bad, most bloggers haven’t. However, do create a plan as soon as possible. It doesn’t need to be complex.

Part of your business plan should be finding a new revenue stream each month.

At the end of the month work out which sources of revenue have been the most successful for you and which have been the least successful. Drop the least successful sources and your income from your blog will go up each and every month.

3. Plan Your Blogging Activities: and Follow up

It’s vital that you plan everything that happens on your blog. Your plan gives you direction; it also eliminates procrastination. For example, if you know that you need to write 10 blog posts a week, you’re less likely to simply stare at the computer screen or play computer games: you’ll get those blog posts written.

4. Build Traffic Streams to Your Blog

The more you focus on traffic, the more traffic you’ll get. However all traffic is not created equal. Some traffic is useless. If you get 10,000 visits from from one of the social networking sites for example, and none of those visitors does anything to increase your income, that’s useless traffic.

Focus on traffic which generates an income for you.

5. Build Your Blog’s Community

(This is optional for many blogs. If you’ve created niche blogs for example, there’s no need to create a community for them.)

You can build community on your blog in many ways.

You can send out an ezine, offer a forum, or even offer free classified advertising. How you choose to build community is up to you; it will depend on the topic of your blog and whether you audience spends a lot of time online or not.

Blogging Secrets: How to Get Blog Traffic Fast

Are you a new blogger? It’s very easy to become disheartened because you lack traffic. Let’s look at four ways you can get traffic to your blog fast.

Here’s an important tip: remember that content is vital. Please don’t obsess about traffic until you have a reasonable amount of blog content. What do I mean by “reasonable”? Check out your competitors. In competitive niches, the minimum amount of content you need is higher than in tiny niches; as your content increases, so will your traffic.

1. Backlinks Bring Traffic

All things being equal, the more links pointing to your blog, the more traffic you’ll get. Yes, this is a case where the rich get richer — long-established blogs have had years to build their link profile, you’re starting from scratch.

Here are three simple ways to get quality backlinks:

* Create several Squidoo lenses with links pointing to your blog;

* Write a Web press release announcing your new blog;

* Pick a sub-niche, and create a Blogger blog, then link to your primary blog.

2. Make Yourself Useful: Comment on Others’ Blogs

Join the conversation on blogs. Leave appropriate comments on others’ blogs. However, do ensure that your comments are useful. Comments like “Great post” or “good blog” are a waste of your time; they’ll be deleted.

3. Guest Blog: Get Known

Blogs are voracious. They need feeding with content regularly. Offer guest posts to prominent bloggers in your niche. Many will take you up on your offer, because it relieves them of a little blogging pressure. As a guest blogger, you will of course link to your own blog.

4. Niche It Down: Start Another Blog

Many new bloggers struggle to get traffic because they’ve bitten off more than they can chew. Their niche is being served by long-established blogs, so that it’s hard to compete.

If you suspect that this is what’s hurting your blog, pick a sub-niche of your primary niche, and start another blog. Use a long tail keyword in the title. For example, if your primary niche is “dog training”, you could create a sub-niche blog “German Shepherd dog training”.

Your sub-niche blog should get ranked more easily than your primarily. Just post to the new blog, linking back to the primary blog in several posts.

Blogging makes a great home business

Many bloggers blog full time in their blogging home business, and earn a great income - much more than they could earn at a job.
